With a 100% record in the group stages, Italy reached the 1990 World Cup semi-finals. Despite De Agostini netting his penalty in the shootout, it would be defeat for Italy against defending World champions Argentina. This is a certified match worn shirt, worn by De Agostini against England in the Third Place Play-Off match where he started and played 67 minutes. Italy won 2-1 thanks to goals from Roberto Baggio and Salvatore Schillaci.

This design was worn for 5 years but the detail that distinguishes Italy 1990 World Cup shirts from the rest is the red stripe on the collar and cuffs is on the outside rather than the inside.
