Third shirt released when Die Königsblauen competed in the 2.Bundesliga as they were relegated from the top-flight the previous year after spending 30 consecutive seasons in the league. Schalke bounced back immediately and reclaimed their place in the top division of German football after topping the 2.Bundesliga table

- Special sponsor signifying the end of Schalke's relationship with Gazprom
- Commercially sold after the German side's away clash with Karlsruher which ended 1-1. Simon Terodde's strike was cancelled out by a Kyoung Rok Choi equaliser to see the points shared.
