Niko Kovač entered his 2nd season as the city-state sides head coach but only lasted until December after poor form. The side looked like they were heading for a mid-table finish when Philippe Clement came in but a remarkable turn of form saw 9 wins in a row and a draw in the last ten games. Wissam Ben Yedder had another prolific season in front of goal notching 32 goals in all competitions with 25 coming in the league.
