Home shirt as worn when the Addicks found themselves back in League One following their relegation from the Championship. Charlton started the season with fan favourite manger Lee Bowyer who looked to guide the club straight back to the second tier. After a strong start which included a six game win streak the London club looked like favourites to gain promotion but fell agonisingly short missing out on a play-off position on goal difference. Bowyer resigned from the club to join Birmingham City with Nigel Adkins finishing the season in the managerial hot seat
