The 2019-20 campaign delivered a season of soaring ambition and eventual heartache for Leicester City, as The Foxes secured a 5th-place Premier League finish and a coveted Europa League spot. They spent most of the year in the top four, highlighted by a historic 9-0 victory over Southampton. Leading the charge was the talismanic striker Jamie Vardy, whose 23 goals earned him the Golden Boot as the Premier League's oldest-ever winner, proving his enduring class. Though a late-season collapse saw them agonisingly miss the Champions League, it was a memorable year that cemented the exciting new direction of the club under Brendan Rodgers.
