The 2019-20 campaign was a season of great promise and ultimate frustration for FC Utrecht. The Domstedelingen, consistently challenging the Eredivisie elite, finished 6th in a season ultimately curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Leading the charge was the dynamic winger Gyrano Kerk, whose 10 goals proved vital.
