Home shirt as worn at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The side did not get off to the best start seeing as their first two games resulted in two consecutive losses against Sweden and Mexico, conceding a penalty in both games. The Reds did have a chance to escape their group stage, however, if they beat Germany, and Mexico subsequently beat Sweden. Despite following through and defeating a tough German side thanks to goalkeeper Jo Heung-min's great efforts, Mexico lost to Sweden resulting in a third-place finish for the South Koreans.
