The 2018-19 campaign delivered a competitive season for Melbourne Victory as The Big V finished a strong 3rd place in the A-League regular season under manager Kevin Muscat. This season was defined by the high-profile arrival of Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda and the formidable attacking partnership of Kosta Barbarouses and Ola Toivonen, who both scored 15 league goals to fire the team into the Finals Series semi-finals. The campaign, which included a run in the AFC Champions League, featured a club record A-League home attendance of 40,504 for the Melbourne Derby and remains a defining chapter in the club's modern history.
