Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Mendez-Laing for the Premier League match against Manchester City, played at the Etihad Stadium on 3rd April 2019. The Bluebirds were fighting hard against relegation under boss Neil Warnock but slipped to a 2-0 defeat against a Man City outfit that were gunning for the title. Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring with a superb finish from a difficult angle before Leroy Sané doubled the hosts' lead just moments before the break with a well taken strike following a corner. Mendez-Laing started on the bench and came on for Josh Murphy with half an hour to play. This was the former Wolves and Peterborough man's second season in Wales and he made 21 appearances for the side bagging 4 goals in the League but couldn't stop The Bluebirds dropping back into The Championship after just one season back in the top flight. Highlights for the winger included a goal in the win over Brighton and a superb brace in the victory over Manchester United at old Trafford.
