Away shirt as worn when Beşiktaş could only manage a 3rd place finish in the Süper Lig under manager Şenol Güneş. The side were remarkably banned from the Turkish Cup after their match against rivals Fenerbahçe was abandoned when Güneş was struck on the head by an object thrown from the crowd. The Turkish Football Federation had ordered the final 32 minutes of the game to be played behind closed doors but Besiktas refused to travel for the fixture
