Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Gardner for the Premeir League match against Manchester United, played at The Hawthorns on 6th March 2016. A close game saw the visitors reduced to 10 men early on when Juan Mata was given his marching orders for a second bookable offense for a rash challenge on former teammate Darren Fletcher. The Baggies made the extra-man pay but only midway through the second half when a silky Salomón Rondón turn and finish beat David De Gea, final score 1-0. Gardner played the full 90 minutes in midfield, this was his second season with the side after joining from Sunderland in 2014. He made 38 appearances in all competitions and bagged 3 goals to help the Baggies to a 14th place finish under Tony Pulis. He stayed at The Hawthorns until January 2017 when he returned to Midlands rivals Birmingham City.
