The 2014-15 campaign saw Hoffenheim, affectionately known as Hoffe, finish a respectable 8th in the Bundesliga, narrowly missing a European qualification spot. Under manager Markus Gisdol, the team also enjoyed a solid run to the DFB-Pokal Quarter-finals. Leading the line was forward Kevin Volland, notching 8 crucial league goals, while the team's attacking flair was also defined by the formidable trio of Volland, Sven Schipplock, and the sensational Roberto Firmino, who were the club's joint top scorers across all competitions. This year, which featured a confident start and the first season in their distinct new blue and white Lotto home kit, marked a positive chapter of development and consolidation for the club.
