The 2014-15 campaign delivered a tense and hard-fought survival for Hannover 96 as Die Roten finished 13th in the Bundesliga, narrowly escaping the relegation fight. The season, led by manager Tayfun Korkut, was defined by a severe slump in the second half that saw the team dramatically slide down the table. Leading the charge was their captain Lars Stindl, whose crucial 10 league goals proved vital in securing their top-flight status. It was a turbulent year that unfortunately marked Stindl's final, defiant season before departing the club.
