Training shirt as worn when the side’s league form struggled with the extra demand of playing in the Europa League under manager Roberto Martínez. Everton qualified for the Europa League thanks to last season’s 5th place finish and the club decided to back manager Martínez by spending a club record £28m on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian delivered for the Toffees, top scoring for the club with 20 goals, 10 in the Premier League. Everton made it to the Round of 16 in the Europa League before losing out to Dynamo Kyiv and could only manage an 11th place finish in the league
