The 2013-14 campaign delivered a historic promotion for Rochdale as The Dale finished a spectacular 3rd in League Two, securing only the club's third-ever ascent to the third tier. Leading the charge was the prolific forward Scott Hogan, whose 17 league goals proved decisive, earning him a spot in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.
