The 2012-13 campaign delivered a tense and dramatic Serie A survival for Genoa, as The Griffins narrowly escaped relegation by finishing a crucial 17th. The season was defined by extreme turmoil, with the club cycling through three different managers before Davide Ballardini finally secured the team's top-flight status with a vital seven-game unbeaten run at the end.
