Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been prepared ahead of the 2011 Carling Nations Cup match against the Republic of Ireland, played at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on 29th May 2011. The Scots rolled into this one in great form having defeated Northern Ireland 3-0 in February and then beaten Wales 3-1 just 4 days before this match with the Boys in Green. The Irish themselves had also been victorious in their first two games and this was a winner takes all clash in Dublin. A close game finished 1-0 in favour of the hosts as Robbie Kean's first half goal proved the difference on the night. Sunderland star Phil Bardsley was Scotland's #3 for the match as the Tartan Army had to settle for a runners-up finish. Scotland wore namesets in the game and this shirt is believed to have been a spare prepared to match specifications ahead of the fixture.
