The 2011-12 campaign was a season of ultimate cup glory for Kilmarnock, with The Killie winning the Scottish League Cup for the first time in their history in a momentous 1-0 final victory over Celtic at Hampden Park. Manager Kenny Shiels guided the team to a solid 7th-place finish in the Scottish Premier League. Spearheading the league attack was Dean Shiels, whose 13 goals were crucial, while the League Cup triumph was secured by a late Dieter van Tornhout winner and an unforgettable Man of the Match performance from goalkeeper Cammy Bell. It was a historic year that marked a long-awaited piece of silverware and remains a defining, golden chapter for the club and its faithful support.
