Player - Reliable Spurs defensive midfielder Tom Huddlestone #4
Features
Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Huddlestone for the Friendly match against Japan, played at UPC Arena in Graz on 30th May 2010. Both sides were gearing up for the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa and this game in Austria was their final warm-up match ahead of the tournament. A sloppy start from England saw Marcus Tulio Tanaka fire home from a corner inside 10 minutes. The Three Lions saw a Frank Lampard penalty saved and had to rely on Japan pressing the self-destruct button as own goals from Tanaka and Nakazawa saw England steal a 2-1 win. Huddlestone played the first half before coming off for Steven Gerrard as Fabio Capello made mass changes at the break. The former Derby County man won 4 caps for his country between 2009-12 but wouldn't feature at the World Cup in South Africa as this design was worn in games versus Slovenia and Germany.
