The 2010-11 campaign for Oldham Athletic was a turbulent season of two halves under new manager Paul Dickov. The Latics, showcasing a youthful side, started brightly and were among the early leaders in League One, but a catastrophic slump in the second half of the season, including a run of only one win in 17 games, saw them dramatically fall to a disappointing 18th-place finish. Leading the charge, and proving his enduring quality, was star midfielder Chris Taylor, whose 11 crucial league goals anchored the attack in a year defined by on-pitch inconsistency and difficult off-pitch financial struggles.
