Shorts as worn by the side whose players join up once a year for an annual charity match who were either born themselves in former Dutch colony Suriname or with parents from the South American country. Matches are played at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam and in the 2009 match against Young Ajax the Profs were held to a 0-0 stalemate. Remarkably players with Surinamese heritage have formed a large part of the Dutch national team for the last 20 years.
