Notes - Home shirt as worn by Henderson in his debut season in the first team when the side survived relegation from the Premiership on the last day of the season under boss Ricky Sbragia. The midfielder made two appearances for the Black Cats, coming on as a half-time sub in the 5-0 defeat away to Chelsea and starting his first game in the 2-1 League Cup defeat to Blackburn. A loan spell at Coventry City in the second half of the season propelled him into the first team for the following two seasons where he became a crucial component of sides that finished 13th and 10th respectively. In 2011, Liverpool came calling and Henderson soon became a prominent figure in the midfield. Once club legend Steven Gerrard departed, there was only one replacement and the Mackem was instrumental as Jürgen Klopp's side went from strength to strength - reaching two Champions League finals and subsequently lifting the clubs sixth European title.
