Player - Young up and coming forward Guy Gnabouyou #31
Features
Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Gnabouyou for the UEFA Cup Last 16 2nd Leg match against Ajax, played at Amsterdam ArenA on 18th March 2009. L'OM had triumphed 2-1 in the first leg thanks to goals from Benoît Cheyrou and Mamadou Niang and looked to book a spot in the Quarters in the Dutch Capital. Eyong Enoh opened the scoring for the hosts on 33 minutes only for Niang to grab an equaliser just moments later with a well timed finish. Ajax scored again midway through the second half thanks to Miralem Sulejmani and the tie headed to extra-time. Up stepped Derby County loanee Tyrone Mears, the Englishman headed home after Ajax failed to clear a botched free-kick on 110 minutes to leave the hosts needing to score twice and ultimately sending the French side through. Gnabouyou didn't featured in this one as Marseille went on to reach the Quarter-Finals before losing out to eventual winners Shakhtar Donetsk. The youngster made just 2 appearances in all competitions this season and stayed on the books at the Stade Vélodrome until 2010 when he joined Orléans.
