The 2008-09 campaign was a season of dramatic turmoil and transition for Bayern Munich as Der FCB finished 2nd in the Bundesliga, ultimately falling short of the title to the surprising VfL Wolfsburg. The year began with new manager Jürgen Klinsmann at the helm, but his ambitious, ill-fated tenure ended abruptly in April after a series of painful losses, including a crushing 5-1 defeat to the eventual champions and a humiliating 4-0 loss to Barcelona that saw them exit the Champions League in the Quarter-finals. Leading the attack was the clinical Luca Toni, whose 14 league goals were vital, but the season's great significance for the future was the Bundesliga debut of a young, emerging talent named Thomas Müller. The club secured their Champions League qualification thanks to the stabilizing influence of caretaker Jupp Heynckes in the final weeks of a campaign defined by high drama and an unforgettable, record-breaking aggregate victory over Sporting CP in the European Round of 16.

No surprises once your order's on its way.

We sort out VAT and import duty up front wherever we're able to, so you're not caught out later. Here's exactly how that works for where you're shipping.

VAT's already included in the price you see, so we don't add it at checkout. On carts over €150, we also collect a 12% duty fee at checkout, so there's nothing to pay when your order arrives. If a courier or customs ever asks you to pay again, let us know and we'll refund it.

One exception: if you're in Poland, Croatia, Greece, Lithuania, Czechia, Hungary, Romania or Slovenia and choose Standard Delivery, your local postal service may still collect a small charge of their own (around €3 per product type) before handing over your parcel. That one's collected locally, so we can't refund it. Choosing Express avoids it.

VAT's already included in the price you see. We also charge Norway's 11% import duty at checkout, so there's nothing to pay when your order arrives.
