The San Jose Sharks enjoyed a highly successful 2007-08 season, finishing as Pacific Division champions and securing the second-best record in the Western Conference with 108 points. Under head coach Ron Wilson, the team was led by superstar Joe Thornton, who recorded a spectacular 96-point campaign, and goaltender Evgeni Nabokov, who led the league with 46 wins. The season was highlighted by a franchise-record 10-game road winning streak and a dominant defense that allowed the third-fewest goals in the NHL. Although their playoff run ended in the Conference Semifinals, the Sharks demonstrated elite consistency and established themselves as one of the premier powerhouses in the league.
