Home shirt worn in Gretna’s first and only season in the Scottish Premier League. Although based in Scotland, the club played in the English football pyramid until 2002, when The Anvils joined Scottish Division Three and rapidly climbed the leagues under new ownership, reaching the SPL and a Scottish Cup final within five years. Their sole SPL season, however, was disastrous, ending in administration; relegated by March, the club was forced to liquidate and reform as Gretna 2008 FC. The design also features the sandwich fast-food company Subway as the main sponsor for the season.
