The 2007-08 campaign delivered a unique mix of global glory and domestic disappointment for AC Milan. The Rossoneri, featuring club legends Paolo Maldini and Andrea Pirlo, secured the UEFA Super Cup and the club's first-ever FIFA Club World Cup, conquering the world under manager Carlo Ancelotti. Leading the Serie A attack was the reigning Ballon d'Or winner Kaká, whose 15 goals anchored the team's attack and drove an exciting, high-scoring domestic season that also saw the mid-season debut of teenage sensation Alexandre Pato. Despite their international success, a disappointing fifth-place league finish meant the club narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification, marking an unusual but defining chapter in their modern history.
