The 2006-07 campaign delivered a swift and painful end to an era for Watford as The Hornets were relegated, finishing 20th in the Premier League after only one season back in the top flight. Leading the attack was the young Hameur Bouazza, whose 5 league goals provided a rare highlight in a campaign built on grit and an unexpected run to the FA Cup Semi-finals under manager Aidy Boothroyd.
