Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Bent for the 2006 World Cup Qualification Group 6 match against Wales played at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on 3rd September 2005. The Three Lions had already beaten their British rivals 2-0 earlier in the group stages, and were on a roll having won their 3 previous fixtures in between. They made in 5 in a row here as they secured a 1-0 victory with Joe Cole scoring in the 54th minute to keep England at the top of the group. The side went on to win 2 and lose 1 of their remaining matches, meaning they qualified as group winners. Bent was an unused substitute during this match, and was still waiting for his first senior cap, having regularly found the net throughout youth level. The striker was finally handed his first cap in 2006 in a friendly match against Uruguay, going on to feature 13 times and scoring 4 goals, but never played at any major international tournaments
