Rare home shirt as worn in the club's 80th and 81st season in its history, as well as its 68th and 69th season in Serie A. It was a controversial season for Fiorentina in 2005/06, who participated in the match-fixing scandal labelled Calciopoli, and as a result were handed a severe 30-point deduction. So, while the side should have finished 4th in Serie A, they were dropped down to 9th following their punishment. In the second season, the side managed to finish 6th, qualifying for the UEFA Cup first round
