Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Taylor for the 2004-05 UEFA Cup campaign. Boro reached the last 16 before losing out to Sporting Lisbon but they enjoyed some superb European nights along the way the highlight of which was a superb 2-0 win over Serie A giants Lazio at the Riverside in November. Taylor didn't feature for the side, the left-back was still only 18 but was named on the bench for the side's First Round 2nd Leg match against Czech outfit Baník Ostrava which ended in a 1-1 draw. Taylor eventually made his first appearance the following season which was his breakthrough campaign and superb year for Boro as they again competed in Europe this time reaching the UEFA Cup Final before narrowly losing out to Sevilla. He stayed with the side until 2011 when he joined Cardiff City and later had spells with Wigan and Bolton.
