Notes - Home shirt as worn by Sheringham during Pompey's second and third top-flight seasons in 45 years, as the side managed to avoid relegation, achieving a 13th place finish. At the ripe age of 38, Sheringham joined Pompey from Tottenham, and the evergreen poacher continued to defy his age, managing to get into double-figures for goals scored, while matching his age in appearances, with 38 to his name.
