Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Sutton for the Champions League Qualifying Third Rond 1st Leg match against MTK Budapest, played at Puskás Ferenc Stadion on 13th August 2003. The Bhoys had already dispatched Lithuanian side FBK Kaunas in the previous round winning 5-0 on aggregate over 2 legs and this game was another triumphant victory for the Hoops. Henrik Larsson scored a superb lofted goal inside the first 20 minutes and Didier Agathe fired home from close range to put the visitors 2-0 up at the break. Stilian Petrov added a third with twenty minutes to play before Sutton himself made it 4 in the final minutes with a cracking diving header to get on the end of perfectly weighted cross from Larsson, final score 4-0. Sutton played the full 90 minutes, the former Blackburn man enjoyed a superb season making 44 appearances in all competitions scoring 28 goals as Celtic went to narrowly lose out in a tough Champions League group before reaching the Quarter-Finals of the UEFA Cup. He finished as the SPL's second highest scorer with 19 league goals at Celtic stormed to another League title finishing 17 points clear of arch rivals Rangers in second place, only strike partner Larsson had more. The 1994-95 Premier League winner had joined the Glasgow based side following a disappointing stint with Chelsea in the summer of 2000. He spent 6 glorious seasons with Celtic making 199 appearances and scoring 86 goals before returning to England with Birmingham City.
