The following season the Finale 3 ball was used in a final between two surprise packages, AS Monaco and Jose Mourinho's Porto in a game that elevated the Special One's reputation as one of the best young managers in the world. Ending Porto's fairytale run in the competition with a convincing 3-0 win.
