Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Owen for the 2002-03 Champions League campaign. The Reds were drawn in the Group B alongside Valencia, Basel and Spartak the Moscow in a feasible group on paper, but the Swiss side edged Liverpool out in the last game. Gérard Houllier' men needed a victory and only managed to level the match in the second half after a disastrous 45 minutes where they conceded 3 goals. The pacey striker played all the 6 matches and netted 4 goals in the tournament. Owen made his debut with the first team in 96-97 and was part of the foundations of the club until 2004 when moved to Real Madrid having made nearly 300 appearances for Liverpool. This special edition European shirt was also used by The Reds in the 2001-02 Champions League as well as in the UEFA Cup.
