Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Fresi for the Champions League Intermediate Group D match against Manchester United, played at Old Trafford on 19th February 2003. Juve had topped their preliminary Group ahead of Newcastle, Feyenoord and Dinamo Kiev to reach the second group phase. They had picked up a draw with Deportivo and a win over Basel ahead of this one and looked to take all 3 points. Goals from Wes Brown and Ruud van Nistelrooy gave the hosts a 2-1 win here with Pavel Nedvěd netting a late consolation. Fresi was an unused substitute for the match and featured 3 times in the Champions League this season as the Bianconeri beat Barcelona and Real Madrid to reach the Final before losing out to AC Milan in a shootout. The former Inter man had joined the side this season from Bologna and made 16 appearances in all competitions as Juventus retained their Serie A title.
