Player - Experienced Brøndby winger Mattias Jonson #18

Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Jonson for the friendly match against Denmark, played at Idraetsparken in Copenhagen on 26th April 2000. The sides had met earlier in the year in the Nordic Championships when the Swedes had claimed a 1-0 victory thanks to Marcus Allbäck. It was a similar story here with Kaiserslautern striker Jörgen Pettersson's first half strike proving the difference in a close affair. Jonson himself was an unused substitute for the fixture. The former Helsingborgs was playing his club football in Denmark with Brøndby and had earned his first cap for Sweden way back in 1996. He went on to feature 57 times in total for his country netting some 9 goals and appearing at World Cups in 2002 and 2006 as well as the European Championships in 2004. The pacey winger later had spells with Norwich City and Djurgårdens at club level.
