Notes - Rare 'Match' boots produced by Nike in 2000 as an early model from their iconic Mercurial silo. The Match Mercurial was designed as part of Nike's Alpha Project which was introduced at the end of the 90's with the aim of creating products that made a statement with new technology in their catagory - displayed by the 5 dots on the heel. The Mercurial was designed on the concept of making a new range of lightweight speed boot ready to suit the new style of modern player, which Nike did by creating this model at just 230 grams a boot. They did this the use of a lightweight kng-100 synthetic on the upper and created a frame that would fit better ot the natural shape of the foot to give a glove-like fit. The forefront of the upper is padded with a ridge style pattern and control coating, which despite being light also offers increased ball traction and enables soft touch to assist with performance too. The soleplate is a special configuration, engineered with 13 plastic blades which were designed to offer optimal traction on firm ground surfaces. This model comes in a black, white and hyper blue colourway which was used by former Brazil and Inter Milan striker Ronaldo who inspired this special boot.
*Due to the age of these boots, we cannot recommend use. We advise they be kept as collectors pieces*
