Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Petit in the friendly match against Scotland played at Hampden Park, Glasgow on the 29th March 2000. The World Champions travelled to Scotland for the first time since 1989 and elegantly cruised to a 2-0 victory thanks to second half goals from Wiltord and Henry. Les Bleus were just too good at this time with other heroes like Deschamps, Desailly, Blanc, Thuram and Vieira on the pitch and Zidane not even needed here. Roger Lemerre's men went on to sweep away the field at Euro 2000 this summer also and pick up the European title to go with the 1998 World Cup they had lifted on home soil. Petit, who had famously scored in that Final, played the full match here and was a key member of the squad and in supreme form at this time. The midfielder made 63 appearances for his country and was snapped up by Barcelona after the Euros. This match was the first outing for the new FFF away kit which would go on to become iconic thanks to its use in the Quarter and Semi Finals of Euro 2000
