- Features - Correct player size print professionally heat pressed, no adidas patch to lower front, luminous Equipment label to lower left side, protective backing to inside of crest and adidas logo, long-sleeved version not commercially available
- Specification - Match Issue
- Design - This design without a nameset or patches will have been worn by Die Nationalelf in the 2002 World Cup qualifiers or in international friendlies
- Competition - 2002 FIFA World Cup Qualifying - Die Mannschaft finished 2nd in Group 9 by goal difference due to them and England finishing on 17 points but the latter having +6 more goals. The Germans lost 5-1 to the Three Lions in Munich thanks to a Michael Owen hat-trick but apart from that had a reasonably positive campaign, where they eventually qualified for the 2002 World Cup after beating Ukraine 5-2 over two legs in the play-offs
