Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been prepared for Babb for the Euro 2000 Qualification Group 8 match against Croatia played at Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb on 4th September 1999. This was match day 6 for the Irish, having been impressive so far with 4 wins and only 1 defeat. The Boys in Green had faced Croatia on the opening match day in Dublin, winning 2-0 after goals from Irwin and Keane. However, this time out they suffered a 1-0 defeat in dramatic circumstances as Arsenal striker Davor Šuker scored a 90th minute winner to keep the race for the top two places alive. Ireland bounced back with a tense 3-2 victory over Malta and then a 1-1 draw against Macedonia which secured them a play-offs spot. Unfortunately, they lost out to Turkey in the 2 legged elimination tie after a 1-1 draw at home, saw them miss out on qualification due to the away goals rule. Babb was not selected as part of the 18 man squad to face Croatia for this match, but the defender did earn 35 caps between 1994-2002, whilst featuring once in qualification for Euro '00
