Player - Tough tackling Boca Juniors defender Jorge Bermúdez #5
Features
Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by a Bermúdez for the friendly match against Denmark, played at Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero in Cali on 24th January 1999. Los Cafeteros faced off against a Danish XI in this exhibition match which ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw with both sides taking a share of the spoils after a late Carlos Aprilla goal cancelled out Carsten Fredgaard's opener. Bermúdez played the full match and won an impressive 56 caps in total for his country between 1995-2001. This classy Reebok design had been worn by Bermúdez and the side at France 1998 where they had failed to make it out of tough group behind England and Romania but they did pick up a win over Tunisia. Legendary centre-back Mario Yepes earned his first cap in this fixture against the Danes coming on for Asprilla as a late substitute.
