Home shirt as worn when The Shakers managed to stay in the Second Division despite manager Neil Warnock stepping down from his role in December 1999. Bury finished 15th, a clear 13 points above the relegation zone with 57 points in total. The side remained in the Football League second division for another season, and ended the 2000-01 season with 58 points and finished 16th in the table
