Home shirt as worn in a one off friendly game vs Manchester United in 1999. Taking place in the futuristic looking Hong Kong stadium, the European Champions dispatched South China with a 2-0 defeat. The two sides had previously met in 1997 too - with United winning 1-0. The South China connection remained strong enough for years to come, with Class of 92 star Nicky Butt joining the side in 2010, playing three games and scoring one goal.
