Home shirt as worn by Gascoigne as the side finished 12th in the Premier League. Initially signed by former England team-mate Bryan Robson when Boro were closing in on promotion to the Premier League, the 1998-99 campaign was perhaps the final campaign in which supporters would have chance to see the rejuvenated playmaker at his dazzling best. The 1999-00 season saw a decline in Gascoigne's career, hindered by problems both on and off the pitch Gascoigne managed only 1 goal in 8 Premier League appearances in his final season with the club before signing for Everton on a free transfer
