Notes - Rare home shirt as worn during the 1998 World Cup in France. The Ro-Ro strike force of Romário and Ronaldo were expected to lead the line for Brazil but a muscular injury meant Romário was omitted from the squad and didn't travel. Much was expected from the two showmen who had scored 34 international goals between them in 1997 with Romário bagging 19. Ronaldo's goals took the side to the Final but then in one of the great mysteries of football he was a shadow of himself against France as the side crashed to 3-0 defeat
