Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Blackmore in the he 1997 World Cup Qualification Group 7 match against Belgium, played at Cardiff Arms Park on 29th March 1997. The Dragons had a mixed bag of results in qualifying ahead of the game, they'd thumped San Marino twice and earned a hard fought 0-0 draw with Turkey but been torn apart by Holland both home and away. The game got off to a lively start but it was the Belgians who took the lead thanks to a stunning solo effort from Bertrand Crasson. The visitors doubled their advantage just before half time through the head of Club Brugge midfielder Lorenzo Staelens. However, the Welsh fought back after the break Everton midfielder Gary Speed scored a header of his own from a superb corner taken by Blackmore himself. The Welsh couldn't find an equaliser though and the game ended 2-1 to the Belgians. This was Blackmore's first appearance in a Welsh shirt since 1994 and it was also to be his last. The Middlesbrough man played the full 90 minutes and put in a solid performance against a Belgian side that went on to finish second in group. The Manchester United legend earned 39 caps for Wales between 1985-1997 scoring once.
