Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Cherchesov in the 2nd leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup against Celtic played at Celtic Park, Glasgow on 26th August 1997. Tirol were leading the tie 2-1 from the first leg after a double from Mayrleb before Alan Stubbs grabbed a vital away goal in the 82nd minute. The return fixture in Scotland was an absolute goal-fest with the eventual scoreline finishing 6-3 to Celtic on the night, and 7-5 on aggregate. The game was back an forth with an 82nd minute header from substitute Gernot Krinner making it 5-5 on aggregate and putting the Austrian side ahead on the away-goal rule. However an amazing turn of events saw Weighorst score a crucial goal 3 minutes later, with Craig Burley adding another one deep into injury time, thus ending Tirol's European journey. Cherchesov started the game but was substituted after only 18th minutes after he had to be stretched off with a knee injury. The Russian keeper spent 6 seasons at the Austrian club, moving in 1996 from Dynamo Dresden, going on to make close to 200 appearances for the side whilst helping the side to 3 consecutive Bundesliga titles between 1999-02. He also featured a total of 49 times for the various Russian national teams during 1990-00
