Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by Bogarde in the 1997-98 season. After 3 years as a defensive stalwart for the great Ajax side that won the Champions League in '95 and reached the Final again the year after Bogarde moved to AC Milan in the summer of '97. The centre back struggled to settle at the San Siro though and his former mentor Louis van Gaal jumped at the chance to bring him to Barca in January '98. The Holland international slotted straight into his Blaugrana team and made 24 appearances in all competitions in this season as Barca cruised to a La Liga and Copa del Rey double and also triumphed in the Super Cup. This was the last season that Kappa produced kits for the club with Nike taking over in '98 after 6 years with the Italian manufacturers. Bogarde would miss 98-99 through injury but returned to be a regular for the season after before signing for Chelsea in 2000.
