Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by James at the Sony MiniDisc Euro Sixes match against Glasgow Rangers played at the Amsterdam ArenA on the 27th January 1997. The tournament which was played over two days also included hosts Ajax and AC Milan was the brainchild of Johan Cruyff and was a UEFA recognised competition. Each game was played as four eight minute quarters and six players could be on the pitch at any one time, full size nets and the offside law were also bizarrely in operation. Liverpool had been thumped 5-0 by AC Milan and went down 7-3 here against the Scottish giants. AC Milan went on to become the winners of what was to be the only edition of the tournament with Roberto Baggio the star of the show. The Reds players did not necessarily keep to their assigned season squad numbers for the matches here with Warner wearing #1 and Michael Thomas #10 in the game with the Rossoneri
